finally have something worth posting this year, lol. we haven't been out a whole lot yet this year with my work schedule and the motor problems we have been having, but we did make it out over the weekend to one of our favorite locations.
we always enjoy farm pond. never crowded and we consistently catch decent bass here. out from about 6:30 to dark saturday night. i caught a few between 1-1/2 to 2 lbs and nicholas finished with a really nice solid 3 pounder. all caught on texas rigged soft plastics.

sex or fishing today? she chose to go fishing with me, lol. couldn't make the tourney this morning, but did get out for a few hours this afternoon. hit the trees and deep ledges, no bass any where. mid way through the day switched to rooster tails and we each got a decent rainbow. she's only been fishing maybe 4 times in her life and this was her first real catch.

a good afternoon on the water. out by myself today. beautiful day, not many pleasure boats to compete with, and some decent fish. started out throwing a white tube in the trees in between the middle and north pond (by the pike) and pulled out 2 small, but decent bass, around 1-1/2 lbs each. switched to a white rooster tail for a while and got a decent rainbow and 3 baby perch. then moved to the far side of the middle pond with a crank bait and got 2 pickerel and another rainbow. did bring one of the rainbows home for dinner. not a bad day for mid october.

MA Fishfinder Tourney a 50% chance to win and we still couldn't make the money, lol. a tough year for us, but always a great time being on the water. a long cold start to this one, but we finally got out there. caught the first one 10 mins in, but didn't get another one for 2 more hours. ended the day with 4 bass at 3.6 lbs total. at least we were consistent this year averaging around 3-1/2 lbs per tourney. not as good as last year, but still a good time.

very very weedy, which in my opinion always makes it tough to find the fish. so many places for them to hide. spent 4 hours on the water today (missing the horrible pats game) and only 3 fish. 1 small bass and 2 pickerel. keep your eyes open for the boat launch. very easy to miss and drive by.
