Fished Plum Island Gut for Blues and Stripers with Chloe over the Sunday of Labor Day weekend 2010. Unfortunately, Hurricane Earl had hit (weakly) on Friday, so the surf was choppy and the fishing grounds were churned up. We caught several Blues but no stripers.
Took the kids hunting for Blue Crabs in the Bass River by the West Dennis Beach Bridge near the WDYC. My daughter hauled up a few good ones, but not enough for a family crab boil so we released them all back into the river.
Took my daughter deep sea fishing off of the race just down from Little Gull Island on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. We caught a bunch of Blues and two beautiful Striped Bass. Great day.
Chatham officials closed South Beach Friday after three great white sharks were sighted, including one (pictured) that was lurking in the water only 100 yards from a party on the sand.
This most recent incident follows a string of sightings that have been reported in recent weeks, including a spotting on Tuesday

Hurricane Earl is forecasted to touch down in CT, the Cape and the Islands later tonight. Good luck to all you coastal home owners and boat owners. It looks like just a Category 1 storm, but get those boats in dry dock if you can!

Caught 3 Blues and two large Stripers fishing with Chloe at the Race this afternoon. It was great!

Added Cotton Hollow and Old Reservoir hot spots to fishing locations in or near Wethersfield, CT.

Took the girls to the Wethersfield Cove today - no luck. Very windy.
