Comment: There is almost nothing more exciting than having a tarpon on your line. One of my favorite fish to catch.

Comment: I've caught plenty of these to about a 100lbs on Fla's SW coast from Ft. Myers to Sarasota. We usually caught our bait, either ladyfish or pinfish and fished them at night in Big San Carlos pass or during the day casting in front of a school of rolling tarpon. Always great fun and it;s just a damn shame that ya can't eat them. In Fla we just keep a scale to prove the size and release them quickly as they are rather fragile after being worn out from the fight!

Comment: I've tried many times to catch a silver king in Virginia. I don't have one yet. It is a difficult catch here since we are at the northern most tip of its range.
